Patagonia Behind the Scenes

This past March we spent two weeks shooting photo and video in southern Argentina for The North Face. My long time friend (and talanted photographer in her own right)Caroline Treadway came along to assist. I thought it might be fun to get her perspective on the whole shoot — especially because she is a blogging ninja. So I asked her whip up something. Here’s what she had to say:

The North Face could have shot their fall/winter performance line anywhere. But the cool thing about TNF (and they’re not paying me to write this) is that they wanted photos of their athletes using and abusing the latest gear in real conditions – a reflection of the company’s desire to tell authentic, athlete-centered stories that are not only inspiring but good marketing, and great for me, because it meant a trip to Patagonia. Walks around Blocks

I’ve been taking some pretty slow walks around the neighborhood recently. My dog and I used to hike and climb all day but now that she’s 15 and verging on the next dimension a walk around the block is just as good and seems to take just as long. Yesterday I brought my camera for a little entertainment.
