Check out BU’s Washington Journalism Center~photos, people and stories
This semester, I’ve been shooting photos for Boston University’s Washington Journalism Center. The Center is a dorm, newsroom and classroom all in one. Student reporters roll out of bed, walk down to the newsroom—the hub of story-covering activity—and head back upstairs at the end of the day.
Guest lectures and classes are also held at the Washington center. At guest lectures, students get the chance to grill all sorts of interesting journalists about their lives and work, including AP reporter Charles Babbington who covers the White House, ABC correspondent Lisa Stark, Boston Globe reporter Susan Milligan, and Dave Levinthal, editor of opensecrets.org‘s political blog Capital Eye, among others. As the sole photojournalist this semester, I’ve taken photos of the students, newsroom, teachers, guest lecturers, and contributed those to the web site.
