Oahu’s Hidden Temple: Mu Ryang Sa

Doorway to the meditation hall at My Ryang Sa, a Korean Buddhist temple outside Honolulu, Hawaii. Photo by Caroline Treadway.

I flew to Oahu to rock climb and collaborate on an article for Deadpoint Magazine (coming out soon!) with Abbey Smith and Jason Kehl. But the second morning, we woke to heavy black skies and flash flood warnings via NOAA that quickly proved accurate. It was December, and though we’d heard rumors of possible rogue waves on the northwest short of Oahu, our destination, we hadn’t expected rain, and certainly not this violent onslaught of precipitation.Luckily Oahu is more than just beaches and maitais! Check out the photo gallery here!
